REGISTRATIONS

​Dear players & parents,

 

Welcome to season 2025. 

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

 

• Registration Period: Opens Sunday, February 2nd, 2025, at 9:00 AM and closes Friday, February 9th, 2025, at 5:00 PM. Registrations are subject to team capacity, and late registrations are only accepted at the club's discretion.

• Registration Platform: All registrations must be completed via PlayHQ (details below)

• Apparel: Available exclusively through the AJFC online store:  https://www.ajaxfootballclub.com.au/shop 

• New Players: All new players to the club receive a free training top upon registration. Please ensure you select the correct size in PLAYHQ. Your registered surname will be printed on the back.

• Preseason Training: Starts in March 2025 and details will be provided closer to the date.

 

REGISTRATION DETAILS

 

Dates

• Registrations open Sunday, February 2nd, 2025, at 9:00 AM and closes Friday, February 9th, 2025, at 5:00 PM.

• Registrations are limited by team capacity.

• All registrations are subject to team capacity and those received after the official closing date are subject to the discretion of the club.

• Once capacity is reached, registration will close, and a waitlist form will be made available on the AJFC website. Waitlist submissions will receive an email confirmation.​​

 

Fees

The 2025 registration fee is $420 (comprising $362 from AJFC and $58 from SMJFL).

 

Fee Assistance

We remain committed to ensuring that all Jewish children have an opportunity to play for the AJFC. Financial assistance is available upon request. Please contact Malcolm Noriskin at registration@ajfc.com.au. All applications are strictly confidential.

 

HOW TO REGISTER

New Players (Only):

If your child has previously registered for another sport (such as Maccabi Basketball or Maccabi Cricket) they will have a PlayHQ profile and appear when you log in. 

 

For children who are new to competitive football (this does not include Auskick), click on “SIGN UP" and create a new record and proceed with your registration. If they do not have a PlayHQ profile, you will need to select Register new family member or dependant.

 

Please ensure your details are up-to-date when registering.

 

Returning Players (Only):

If you have registered previously, ensure you the email address that you previously used to register in 2024 to enable the player to keep their statistics and profile. If your email address has changed you can change it in your profile settings, but first login using your old email address. 

 

All the players in your family previously registered under the same email address will be displayed in the "Current Member" list enabling you to re-register one or all of the players in the same profile. If you have any difficulties or are unsure of what to do, please email registration@ajfc.com.au before continuing.

Transferring from Another Club (Only):

If your child has played for another junior club previously you will require a transfer to play for AJAX.  The transfer window opens on February 1, 2025.  If you have any questions please contact our Registrar on registration@ajfc.com.au

 

APPAREL

 

Orders

All players are required to pre-order on-field apparel (shorts and socks required) .The online store will be available through our website - https://www.ajaxfootballclub.com.au/shop

 

• Only black shorts are required for 2025.

• Apparel must feature SMJFL-approved logos.

• Orders do not get delivered and will be available for collection or at training prior to Round 1.

• The club will only have limited stock available during the season and does not reorder mid-season, so all apparel purchases need to be made during the registration period.

Jumpers

• Playing jumpers will be provided by the club and distributed to the players through their Team Manager prior to their first match.

• The playing jumper is the property of AJAX and therefore needs to be returned to the club at the end of the season or you will incur a fee to replace this jumper.

• Please note the club does not take number requests. We play for the logo on the front, not the number on the back.

Grading and Age Groups

• Players will be placed in age-appropriate teams (age as of January 1, 2025). Exceptions will only be considered upon written request and if team numbers permit.

• If you have previously been granted an age dispensation to play in a lower or higher age group, you must reapply for it. Approval is not guaranteed for 2025. Please email registration@ajfc.com.au  for the application form.

• Teams in age groups from Under-12 and above will be graded, with Comets being the strongest. If three teams exist, one is designated as Comets, and where possible the other two teams should be of relatively equal ability with consideration given to friendships.

 

PRE-SEASON

• Preseason training begins in March 2025. Registered players will receive training schedules when available and these will also be published on the club website.

• Training will be held on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with efforts to minimize scheduling conflicts with other Maccabi clubs.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK

• All parents assuming match-day roles must hold a valid WWCC.

• There is no cost for volunteers.

• Please use your own postal address.

• Your WWCC details will need to be updated into your PlayHQ volunteer profile.
